Have you heard of Quilts for Kids? You can submit your info and they send you fabric to make into a quilt for them. They give to quilts to kids staying in hospitals. I love that.
You need to add your own batting and use your own thread. Then you make a friend to go with it, and you send them back.
Easy Peasy, right?
I made this Katie Quilt from Missouri Quilt Co. I had a charm pack and went to town. I love this pattern! I will totally use it again in the future.
Quilts for Kids asks for you to quilt them heavily. I’m not sure I’ve ever quilted so heavily before. I love the grid on the back.
This was my most favorite quilt to pull out of the dryer. It crinkled up beautifully.
I really love the way the stippled area crinkles. My husband even gets excited about it. He knows that the crinkles are good. He is a keeper for sure.
I had to hide some words in the quilting again. This one says “Love” in the top of the white shape. Can you see it?
This was the quilt they sent me the fabric for. It went together quickly.
And again with some “Love”. This one reminded me of Jr. High bubble letters that I always hated so much. Guess I was feeling the 80’s when I was quilting it.
They even sent a label for me to attach to the kit quilt.
I’m linking up to Katie's 100 Quilts for Kids flickr group.
